Mercy Health’s Life Flight program seeks an EMT to transport Mobile Intensive Care patients and assist with pre-transport patient care in the MICU vehicle. You will assess patient data, plan care with the team, and ensure communications with the MICU RN and paramedic.

Qualificações

• Must be a graduate of an accredited EMT program.
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver's license for a minimum of 2 years.
• Must have an excellent driving record.
• Must complete bi-annual safe driving training classes.
• Must possess a current EMT license from the State of Ohio.
• Work requires prior EMS field experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required; BTLS preferred.
• Basic Trauma Life Support certification or equivalent preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff; demonstrate leadership and community education abilities.
• Work requires 1–6 months orientation to learn department policies.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the MICU vehicle to respond to runs safely and appropriately.
• Assist with urgent/emergent patient care before transport; assess condition and plan care.
• Assist MICU team with patient care before transport.
• Represent Mercy Health professionally to the community.
• Cooperate with ancillary and support services.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment and supplies per policy.
• Attend training to stay current in knowledge and skills.
• Accompany neonatal team on transport; assist with isolette handling.
• Assist in communications center; dispatch MICU or aircraft when needed.
• Inventory and reorder stock medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure equipment is returned, cleaned and labeled for next use.
• Collaborate with flight nurse on day-to-day duties.
• Complete annual flight crewmember training.
• Comply with Corporate Responsibility Program and report any concerns.
