East Jefferson General Hospital is seeking an EMT-B to respond to EMS dispatches, provide on-scene care and transport patients as needed. You will use defibrillators, monitoring devices and PPE to deliver high-quality emergency care.

Requirements include a High School diploma, Louisiana EMT-B license, and NR-EMT certification; a chauffeur's license and defensive driving are pluses. This is a variable shift role with opportunities to grow within LCMC Health.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Louisiana EMT-B license or LV equivalent preferred.
• National Registry EMT-B certification required or pending.
• Chauffeur's license or equivalent may be required for patient transport.
• Defensive Driving and BCLS certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to dispatch information and drives EMS vehicles to locations.
• Stabilizes ill or injured persons, provides first aid and relays status to medical personnel.
• Operates medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor and oxygen.
• Documents patient care and billing information accurately.
