Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an experienced EMT-Paramedic to provide emergency medical care and rapid transport in the Metairie, Louisiana area. This role supports East Jefferson General Hospital and surrounding communities with patient care and critical transport services.

The ideal candidate has 2 years EMS experience, is NREMT-P certified, and holds ACLS/PALS credentials. Work hours include variable shifts, requiring readiness for on-scene response and hospital handoffs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of EMS related experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NREMT-P certification and related licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a primary and secondary survey on every patient to identify illness or injury and initiate rapid care.
• Ensures proper equipment is available and functional for immediate medical care.
• Maintains airway patency using appropriate devices and techniques, up to ET tube as needed.
• Transports patients safely to hospital facilities and communicates with medical control.
• Documents patient condition, treatment, and history in the PCR; relays updates to dispatch.
