Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks a clinical support Associate to assist nurses and medical staff, perform clerical duties, and facilitate patient care in the Care Center. The role includes phlebotomy, venipuncture, IV starts, and coordination of equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operations.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, Virginia EMT certification or National Registry, BLS CPR, and preferred experience in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• High School / GED is required.
• Current Virginia EMT Certification and/or National Registry is required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR is required at hire.
• One year EMT, military corpsman or clinical related experience is preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical, communication and other related duties to facilitate the Care Center.
• Assist nurses and medical staff with patient care procedures and data collection.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture and specimen labeling/transport.
• Set up sterile trays and assist with sterile procedures.
• Coordinate equipment and supply needs with the Supply Agent and maintain equipment.
