Job summary

Global Medical Response is actively hiring an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT Basic) in New York for a full-time role that responds to emergency and non-emergency requests, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and patient service.

Starting hourly pay is $17.08. Candidates must hold a Florida EMT certification, CPR/BLS, a state driver’s license, and pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT); at least 18 years old, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Driver's License.
• State of Florida EMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and determine necessary care; deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate skills to provide care including communication, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.

• Take pride in providinga safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriateskills to provide care includingcommunications, medicalequipment, cleaningprocedures, office equipment, and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
