Job summary

Global Medical Response (AMR) is hiring a Paramedic Basic in Tampa, FL for a full-time role with immediate start. New wages start at $24 per hour, with increases based on experience, plus tuition reimbursement. State Paramedic license, driver’s license, and multiple EMS certifications are required.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, on-scene leadership, advanced medical care, and coordination with public safety and clinical teams. EMTs with healthcare experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver's License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
• Driving record must be compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test is required.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine action using Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and family to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit when needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• State Driver's License
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare
