Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department in Florida is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT Basic) for a full-time, immediately hiring role. Hourly rates start at $17.59+ DOE, with duties responding to emergency and non-emergency medical requests and delivering high-quality care and customer service.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documenting information, maintaining equipment, operating ambulance, and collaborating with public safety personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• State of Florida EMT certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Clean driving record per policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
