Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Driver’s License.
• NY State EMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients and determine necessary care.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Utilize appropriate skills and equipment for care.
• Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies.
• Collaborate with health personnel and fellow EMTs.
