Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our Level 1 Trauma Center. This full-time day shift operates Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, featuring three 12-hour shifts and a comprehensive onboarding program that prepares you for high-acuity patient care.

Formación

• 1 year of EMT-B experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS and EMT-B certification; must be active on NREMT or Virginia EMT license.

Responsabilidades

• Documents all required fields in medical records, computer entries and charges.
• Applies orthopedic splinting devices.
• Collects patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
• Assists with patient transport for testing, admission/discharge, interfacility and aeromedical.
• Performs 12 lead ECG and places patients on continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Performs patient phlebotomy following department/facility policies and procedures.
• Provides wound care according to department clinical practice standards and acts as a resource to physicians and nurses to assist with optimum care.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
