Qualifications

• EMT certification is required.
• CPR-Basic Rescue certification required.
• Valid driver license is required.
• Minimum one year EMS experience preferred in urban systems.
• Substitution of education for experience allowed where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administers medical care per EMS protocols at the scene and during transport.
• Assesses patients, stabilizes them, and prepares for hospital admission.
• Documents care provided for records and data use.
• Drives and maintains EMS vehicle and equipment in ready condition.
