Job summary

Athens Technical College is hiring a Professional Laboratory Assistant - EMT/AEMT for a part-time role in Athens, GA. You will assist faculty with lectures, exams, safety, and attendance while mentoring students in a lab setting.

The position requires current licensure as an AEMT/Paramedic/RN/PA/MD, with at least one year of advanced life support experience. Instructors with BLS/ACLS/PALS and EMS teaching credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, or M.D./D.O. in Georgia with at least 1 year of advanced life support pre-hospital or emergency care.
• Preferred: Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS and/or PALS.
• Preferred: PHTLS and EMS Instructor experience; Instructor/Coordinator credentials for AEMT or Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, safety procedures and attendance.
• Tutor or mentor students and support lab activities.
• Clean labs and obtain materials needed for classes.

Education

Georgia licensure: AEMT / Paramedic / RN / PA / MD/DO

Instructor certification in BLS / ACLS / PALS

PHTLS EMS Instructor or Instructor/Coordinator

AEMT or Paramedic EMS Instructor credentials
