Priority Ambulance invites applicants to join the EMS Training Academy in Cordova, TN. The 11-week, live, instructor-led program includes 84 clinical hours on Baptist Ambualnces and 40-hour week schedules aimed at earning EMT-B licensure.

Graduates are offered full-time EMT-B positions with Baptist Ambulance within the Priority Ambulance family, following licensure, with a commitment of at least 2 years. Admission requires age, diploma, license, and clear screenings.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older and meet admission requirements.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Hold a valid driver's license and pass background checks.
• Agree to drug screening as part of the process.
• Pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP exam) and related checks.

Responsibilities

• Attend all classes, labs, and clinical rotations with full engagement.
• Complete testing promptly upon course completion and licensure.
• Commit to working for Baptist Ambulance in a full-time role after licensure for 2 years.

Academy Details

• Format: Live, instructor-led classroom sessions and labs as well as clinical rotations
• Location: Cordova, TN
• Schedule: Monday through Friday. Times vary based on schedule. (40 hours per week)
• Clinical Rotations: 84 clinical hours on Baptist Ambulances
• Program Length: 11 weeks
• Certification Level: Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

Expected from Participants

• Full engagement with attendance to all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
• Prompt testing for License upon course completion.
• Commitment to work for Baptist Ambulance in a full-time position for at least 2 years following licensure.
