Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to join its award-winning team. The EMT will render high-quality basic life support and transport patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings, caring for patients from neonatal to geriatric ages.

This full-time position requires NJ EMT certification, BLS CPR, and driving credentials, with additional ITLS/CEVO within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey EMT certification.
• NJ EMT certification; out-of-state certs must be obtained and NJ certification within 12 months of hire.
• Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card is required.
• CEVO, ITLS, or TCCC certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• CEVO certification must be obtained within 3 months and renewed every 3 years.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency is required.
• Previous EMT experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support of the highest quality, with compassion and dignity.
• Transport patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings as part of the health care team.
• Care for patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures during patient care.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Medical Technician renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre- hospital and inter-facility settings. Functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification2. Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire3. Current and valid Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card4. Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.5. Valid Driver’s License6. CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period7. High School Diploma or Equivalency8. Previous experience as an EMT is preferred9. Must have a good driving record
