Job summary

City of New York is seeking a CARETAKER (HA) to oversee storeroom operations under direct supervision. The role includes driving, receiving, stocking, inspecting materials, and maintaining inventory in Maximo and Oracle across the five boroughs.

The candidate should be flexible to travel as needed and NYCHA offers benefits including medical plans, deferred compensation, and NYCERS pension. Residency is not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in storeroom operations.
• Experience with Maximo and Oracle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to drive/operate manual transmission vehicle.

• Reconcile inventory counts on a regular and routing basis.
• Substitute as an Emergency Service Helper (weekdays, weekends & holidays), when necessary.
• Assist with car service operations, when necessary.Work in Maximo and Oracle applications.

• Receive, inspect, unpack, stock, pack, delivery/distribution, and care for material, supplies and equipment.
• Check deliveries and materials received against invoices, packing slips, etc. for accuracy, discrepancies, and damages.

Notes

• Possession of a valid tri-state driver’s license is required and must be maintained for the duration of employment.
• Candidate selected must be available to work and travel throughout the five boroughs.

• Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Applicants must have the ability to drive with manual transmission.
