Qualifications

• General knowledge of EMS operations and proper use of EMS equipment.
• Ability to learn through training using EMS methods.
• Knowledge of road systems and community layouts.
• Skills including airway management, CPR, medications, and defibrillator use, plus trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and EMS operations training; maintain certifications.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport per statewide protocols.
• Lift and balance up to 250 lbs with assistance; operate at 33 inches height.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, physicians, dispatchers in English.
• Document patient information in an approved OEMS record system.
