Qualifications

• General knowledge of EMS operations and ambulance equipment.
• Ability to learn through training and adapt to EMS methods.
• Ability to navigate road networks of assigned communities.
• Provide airway management, CPR and medications per protocols.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation sessions and EMS operations training.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport per protocols.
• Lift, carry, and assist patients as required following safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and dispatchers.
• Operate and maintain EMS equipment and vehicles; document care.
• Support event stand-by operations at community events and sports.
• Respond to hazardous material incidents at the first-responder level.
• Collaborate with other agencies; follow HIPAA patient privacy rules.
• Maintain professional appearance and perform station/ambulance upkeep.
