Buncombe County Government in North Carolina seeks an EMS Training Officer to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of emergency medical service training for the County Emergency Services Department.
The role requires an associate degree in EMS, five years of field EMS experience, and credentials as a Paramedic and EMS instructor with NC OEMS within one year of appointment.

Purpose of the position: The purpose of this position is to undertake technical instructional work, overseeing the planning, coordination, and implementation of emergency medical service training programs for the County Emergency Services Department.
Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience (required at time of hire): Associate degree in an EMS related field supplemented by courses in emergency medical techniques and training methods and five (5) years of field experience in pre-hospital emergency medical work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Credentialed as a Paramedic by the North Carolina Office of EMS; Possession of a valid driver’s license from state of residence; Credentialed as a Level I Paramedic Instructor and able to obtain Level II Paramedic Instructor by the North Carolina Office of EMS within one (1) year of appointment.
