Job summary

RPMGlobal in Largo, FL is seeking an EMS Training Instructor responsible for delivering continuing education countywide, training EMTs and Paramedics through the EMS Academy. This role combines classroom instruction, online delivery, and hands-on skill assessments.

You will develop lesson plans, conduct practical evaluations, and mentor students to meet clinical objectives, under supervision of EMS Training Coordinators. A CJIS Level 2 background check is required.

Qualifications

• Requires EMS experience as Paramedic, Field Training Officer, or EMS instructor.
• Requires Florida Paramedic certification.
• Requires valid Florida Driver's License.
• Ability to work varied schedules, including emergencies, disasters, or special events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EMS continuing education courses and EMS Academy training for EMTs and Paramedics.
• Conduct classroom lectures, online instruction, and skills demonstrations.
• Facilitate scenario-based training and evaluates clinical decision-making.
• Administer written and practical examinations to assess student performance.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials in accordance with established curriculum and local protocols.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to students to support learning and professional development.
• Assist in maintaining accurate training records and completion documentation.
• Support EMS Coordinators in the implementation of training programs.
• Perform related instructional duties as assigned.
