Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks an experienced EMS instructor to deliver theory and hands-on skills training to EMS students in laboratory and hospital settings. The role reports to the Dean of Health Sciences and the Associate Dean of EMS.

The candidate must hold a Florida paramedic certification in good standing, an AS degree or higher in EMS or a related field, and have completed Level A EMS Instructor Curriculum.

Qualifications

• Florida certified paramedic in good standing.
• AS Degree or higher in EMS or related field.
• Completion of Level A - EMS Instructor Course Curriculum as defined in 64J-1.0201.
• Level A training completed prior to start date and currently employed by an ALS provider with a minimum of 3 years ALS patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMS theory and skills in lab and/or hospital settings.
• Evaluate and provide feedback to students.
• Instruct on DOT curriculum including patient assessment and emergency care.
• Adhere to College, Departmental and Program policies and safety standards.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
