Job summary

S.C. Department of Public Health is seeking a qualified professional to plan and direct data collection, data management, training, education, and research for the Emergency Medical Services & Trauma section.

The role includes functioning as the IT representative and webmaster, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to EEOC and state regulations. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, SC Paramedic certification or eligibility for National Registry, and experience in data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Must be certified as a SC Paramedic or eligible to obtain National Registry Paramedic credential within one year of hire.
• Experience in data management and analysis.
• Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs data collection, data management, training, education, and research for the EMS & Trauma section; serves as IT representative and webmaster.
• Supervisory and leadership responsibilities per agency policies; promote workforce engagement and safe environment.
• Designs, implements, tests, and supports EMS and Trauma Section systems; assists users with software issues; may serve as SME.
• Identify training needs, develop materials, and ensure NEMSIS compliance; participate in technical calls and dashboard development; respond to FOIA requests.
• Assist with disasters, special projects, and be an essential employee during emergencies.
