Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Public Health in Lexington County seeks a coordinator to plan and direct data collection, management, training, and research for the EMS Trauma section, ensuring program integrity and analytical capability.

The role also acts as the IT representative and webmaster for the section, oversees EMS training certification and instructor credentials, and supports NEMSIS compliance, supervision, leadership, and emergency preparedness duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
• SC Paramedic certification or eligible to obtain National Registry Paramedic credential within one year of hire.
• Experience in data management and analysis.
• Master's degree and EMS paramedic work experience (preferred).
• Minimum two years EMS experience, supervisory/management experience, training coordination, or EMS accreditation knowledge (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs data collection, management, training and research activities for the EMS Trauma section.
• Serves as IT representative and webmaster for the section.
• Manages EMS training certification and instructor credentials.
• Supports system compliance with NEMSIS standards.
• Assumes supervisory and leadership responsibilities, training coordination, and emergency preparedness duties.
