Job summary

Copperstate Ambulance is seeking an EMS Educator to develop and instruct Driver Training Academy's, EMT-Basic, EMT-Advanced, EMT-Paramedic, and Ventilator & Critical Care Training Academies.

Responsibilities include designing curricula, coordinating field and clinical site precepting, and ensuring compliance with policies, HIPAA, and safety standards. Strong communication, leadership, and adult-education experience are essential.

Qualifications

• EMT license current; Paramedic preferred, EMT must work under a Paramedic.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in ambulance field documentation.
• Education/experience in adult education and training.
• Excellent administrative and detail-oriented skills.
• Strong project, time management, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently on diverse projects.
• Punctual and able to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Minimum four years EMS training experience.
• EMT and Paramedic Instructor certifications (within 1 year of hire).
• Instructor certifications for CPR, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, BTLS, CEVO (within 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct Driver Training Academy programs.
• Develop and instruct EMT-Basic Training Academy programs.
• Develop and instruct EMT-Advanced Training Academy programs.
• Develop and instruct EMT-Paramedic Training Academy programs.
• Develop and instruct EMT-Paramedic Ventilator & Critical Care Training Academy programs.
• Schedule, monitor, and assure high-quality field precepting for academy students.
• Schedule, monitor, and assure high-quality clinical site precepting with hospital staff.
• Uphold company policies and security procedures.
• Maintain security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, medications, and data.
• Follow HIPAA and all privacy regulations.
• Lead by example with professionalism and leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
