Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, scheduling software, and electronic communication systems.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle competing priorities and last-minute staffing changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and publish employee schedules for EMTs and paramedics.
• Ensure shifts and ambulance units have appropriate staffing.
• Monitor staffing levels and identify shortages, overtime needs, and scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate shift trades, vacation requests, and other scheduling requests.
• Maintain an accurate scheduling system and communicate changes.
• Assist with coverage for special events and unexpected staffing needs.
• Monitor call-offs and unplanned staffing issues.
• Coordinate replacements when employees are unavailable.
• Maintain records of schedules and timekeeping.
• Coordinate with HR and payroll on discrepancies.
