Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks an Hourly Industry Instructor to develop, implement, and supervise EMT-related coursework aligned with industry standards. You will deliver hands-on instruction, coordinate labs, and promote career readiness for high school students in Colorado.

The role emphasizes safety, practical assessments, and collaboration with EMT instructors and school staff. The schedule features 3-hour shifts with regular feedback, and a focus on hands-on skills labs and scenario training.

Qualifications

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
  • Five years of professional work experience in industry.
  • Appropriate certifications or licenses in the industry field.
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic classroom management and planning skills.
  • Basic organizational skills.
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum.
  • Ability and desire to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Collaborate with support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
