Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervises EMS lab simulations and evaluates student performance.
• Designs, develops, and updates high-fidelity simulation activities.
• Maintains confidential student records and tracks performance.
• Keeps lab environment clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Schedules simulations and supervised practice, ensuring remediation where needed.
• Assists faculty in providing laboratory and simulation experiences.
• Develops and evaluates new and existing high-fidelity patient simulator scenarios.
• Performs demonstrations for classes and visitors.
• Maintains and orders lab supplies and equipment.

Job description

This position is responsible for supervising and assisting EMS students with simulation and lab student learning objectives. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Responsibilities

• EvaluatesstudentperformanceandassistsEMSstudentswithpracticingprocedures,andcommunicates outcomes to students and faculty
• Designs,develops,andupdateshigh fidelity simulationactivities
• Monitors and maintains confidential student records including the tracking of student performance and completion of high-fidelity simulation activities
• Maintainsclean,organizedsimulation andlabenvironment
• MaintainsacurrentscheduleofallEMS simulations andlabstoincludeplannedactivities,supervisedpractice,and remediation
• Assistsfacultyinprovidinglaboratoryandsimulationexperiences
• Assistswiththedevelopment,implementationandevaluationofnewandexistinghigh-fidelitypatientsimulator scenarios
• Performs simulation demonstrations for classes and visitors
• Assists in ordering lab supplies and equipment
• Remainscurrentintheareasofbestpracticetechniquesorevidenced-basedpracticeinEMScare
• Assists faculty with updating procedure guidelines as needed
• Maintains and remains current and able to operate all equipment in lab
