Job summary

Butler Medical Transport Team is hiring an Operations Scheduling Specialist in Windsor Mill, MD. The role focuses on developing and maintaining schedules for Maryland field personnel, including Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, and EVOs, to ensure staffing stability and uninterrupted service delivery.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to staffing changes. Experience with Traumasoft and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older at time of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in employee scheduling, workforce coordination, dispatch operations, healthcare staffing, or a related operational role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email systems, and workforce management software.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staffing schedules that balance operational needs and staff availability.
• Develop rotational schedules for full-time employees and manage availability of part-time/PRN personnel.
• Approve or deny vacation and sick leave requests within two business days per policy.
• Backfill open shifts and coordinate same-day/next-day staffing with leadership.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to employees and leadership.
