Job summary

The City of Modesto seeks an Emergency Medical Services Quality Improvement Coordinator to lead EMS programs within the Fire Department. You will plan, implement, and oversee EMS education, QA activities, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure high-quality EMS delivery.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, conducting audits, guiding CPR/AED training, and collaborating with external agencies; a Bachelor’s degree and EMS expertise are required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergency medicine principles and patient prioritization.
• Understanding EMS training, service delivery, and QA.
• Ability to develop and manage EMS programs and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate EMS programs within the Fire Department.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate EMS programs and procedures across departments.
• Perform quality improvement audits of pre-hospital documentation and training programs.
• Coordinate CPR/AED training for department personnel and the public.
• Represent the department on committees and coordinate with outside agencies.
