Job summary

Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) seeks a lead EMS instructor to teach and coordinate the EMS program across Lee, Charlotte, and Collier campuses, with travel to all locations as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing and teaching EMT courses to National EMS standards, student advisement, coordinating instructors, maintaining records, and assisting curriculum planning and equipment management. A strong commitment to student success is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current Florida Paramedic licensure in good standing.
• At least four years of ALS field experience as a provider.
• At least two years of active EMS teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead didactic and hands-on EMT course instruction to meet National EMS standards.
• Provide one-on-one student advisement, remediation, tutoring, and coaching.
• Coordinate schedules for instructors, adjunct faculty, and clinical staff.
• Develop and maintain student records in alignment with state/accreditation standards.
• Participate in curriculum planning, admissions, and equipment inventory management.
