Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technical Engineering Manager to lead technical engineering and SMT programming for EMS/PCB/PCBA contract manufacturing in a high-mix electronics environment in Seymour, CT. This hands-on leadership role requires deep SMT programming proficiency and a strong manufacturing data background.

Qualifications

Direct EMS/PCB/PCBA contract manufacturing experience required.
Strong hands-on experience with SMT production, equipment, programming, and processes.
Experience leading within a large manufacturing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical oversight for Technical Engineering, production documentation, manufacturing data preparation, and SMT programming
Manage, develop, and establish priorities for Technical Engineering and SMT Programming personnel
Lead technical activities within a high-mix EMS/PCBA contract manufacturing environment
Work hands-on within the manufacturing environment alongside Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production
Provide floor-level technical support during first article, first-build, and production validation
Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manufacturing process changes
Maintain revision and configuration control of SMT programs and documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup time, programming time, and equipment downtime
