Job summary

Emerus seeks an EMS Liaison in Las Vegas to bridge communication between emergency medical services and the hospital. You will foster partnerships, support patient transfers, and improve clinical workflows while adhering to HIPAA and EMTALA requirements.

Your role includes educating EMS providers, coordinating EMS programs, and tracking performance metrics to drive continuous quality improvement across the service area.

Qualifications

• EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure required or preferred.
• 2+ years EMS or healthcare experience.
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrated ability to follow HIPAA privacy, security and EMTALA policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison and advocate between the hospital and EMS agencies.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, quality review, and service line excellence.
• Develop relationships with EMS stakeholders to support clinical coordination and patient safety.
• Educate EMS providers on hospital services, access processes, and appropriate destination decisions.
• Coordinate EMS education programs and recognition activities and ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits with EMS agencies to address concerns and strengthen partnerships.
• Track, analyze, and report EMS metrics to support performance improvement and share results with leadership.
• Collaborate with ED leadership to ensure accurate data capture and issue resolution.
• Foster relationships that support patient safety, hospital operations, and risk management.
