Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a highly skilled Worcester EMS paramedic to perform RAMS duties within the Pavilion, under clinical supervision. You will manage airway, administer meds, and collaborate with care teams during shifts and transports.

Required include Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic certification, CPR, ACLS, valid driver's license, and experience in urban EMS. Pediatric IV/airway skills preferred; unionized environment with NAGE and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
• Certified in CPR - Basic Rescue by either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Administers skilled medical care at emergency scenes and during transport.
• Obtains medical history, monitors vital signs, and communicates with on-call physicians.
• Performs life support and uses advanced equipment as directed by physicians.
• Responds to a wide range of emergency situations and manages mass casualty scenarios.
