Responsibilities
Job Summary
This job is responsible for maintaining a presence in the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) and local Emergency Departments to facilitate informal communication, build relationships with EMS/ED providers, and to facilitate improvement in quality outcomes of services rendered in prehospital care. An incumbent serves as liaison with Trauma/Stroke/Cardiac/Emergency Services leadership, EMS Medical Directors, and other key stakeholders to advocate for and implement appropriate changes. An incumbent assists in the assessment of EMS educational needs and the development/implementation of training in accordance with WA State EMS/Trauma and American College of Surgery Committee on Trauma Standards and designation requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and four years of related work experience in an acute care hospital in Emergency, Trauma, or Critical Care that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities; OR
Graduation from a state-approved EMG-Paramedic education program and two years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
