Job summary

Community Care Ambulance in Ashtabula, OH is seeking an Operations Assistant Supervisor (OAS) to support field operations, maintain system readiness, and supervise on‑duty EMS crews. This role includes serving as a working Paramedic when needed, delivering direct patient care, ensuring complete documentation, and guiding staff with leadership, training, and quality standards.

You will collaborate with communications, facilities, and public safety partners to ensure efficient, patient‑centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Ohio Paramedic certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-duty operational supervisor for assigned shifts.
• Provide real-time oversight and support for field operations and EMS personnel.
• Assist in coordinating daily EMS system operations and maintaining system readiness.
• Manage system status plans to ensure optimal unit coverage and response times.
• Respond to operational needs with appropriate resource allocation and decision-making.
