Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City area seeks an EMS Coordinator RN to ensure a smooth EMS-driven patient flow. The role greets patients and EMS personnel, and works with the CNC to plan arrivals and offloads.

The EMS Coordinator will oversee the EMS lounge and stroke care area, assist clinical staff, and support related downtime duties. Collaboration with EMS leadership and ongoing education are essential.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days.
• RN license and RN diploma required to practice as a nurse coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent, courteous care experience for EMS-transported patients.
• Collaborate with CNC to plan arrivals and manage EMS surges for timely offloads.
• Oversee EMS lounge and stroke care area; assist clinical staff as needed.
• Coordinate with EMS PPR Director on strategic initiatives and EMS Growth Governance Council.
• Support downtime duties and ensure effective EMS communications.
