Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• Experience with EMS offload processes or hospital EMS operations.
• Ability to coordinate with EMS partners and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and offloading EMS arrivals during scheduled shift.
• Meet Assumption of Care standards as set by HCA.
• Collaborate with EMS partners to support improved outcomes and service.
• Assist in managing department flow through coordination with Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
• Provide recommendations related to EMS offloading process.
• Recommend and implement courses of action including training of relief EMS RNs.
• Receive patient properly and initiate patient care.
• Handoff each patient to receiving RN for continuity of care.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and assist in education when not offloading EMS.
• Prepare and ensure EMS offload area equipment is functional.

• Collaborates with EMS partners to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
• Assists in managing department flow through coordination with assigned Clinical Nurse Coordinator
• Provides recommendations related to the EMS offloading process.
• Recommends and implements courses of action including training and development of relief EMS RNs
• Responsible for properly reception of the patient and initiating patient care
• Will properly hand off each patient to receiving RN for continuity of care
• Functions as a clinical resource for staff members and assist in necessary education of the nursing staff when not offloading EMS
