Job summary

Charleston County EMS is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist III to lead ICS II training and act as Logistics Shift Supervisor in the absence of the supervisor. The role oversees QA/QI for logistics work products and maintains pharmaceutical/narcotic inventory accountability.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2-3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination. Candidates must have a SC driver’s license with a clean record and be able to obtain Class E within 6

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2-3 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to obtain Class E license within 6 months.
Medical/physical examination and drug testing required.
Additional training in HAZMAT handling/storage and specialty vehicle/equipment operations may be required.
Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Lead initial and remedial training of ICS II staff; serve as Logistics Shift Supervisor in the supervisor’s absence.
Perform QA/QI functions for Logistics work products and manage inventory accountability.
Receive, store, document, and transport supplies/equipment; inspect and log materials; handle bio-hazardous materials for disposal.
Create and maintain logs and files in warehouse/office environments; work in varied 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends.
