Charleston County EMS is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist III to oversee shift-based training for ICII staff and assist the Shift Supervisor with QA/QI tasks. This role requires managing pharmaceutical/narcotics inventory and maintaining logs in a busy warehouse setting.
Shifts are 12 hours and can include day, night and weekend rotations. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2–3 years of related experience.

The Inventory Control Specialist III position reports to the Logistics Shift Supervisor and performs as a shift lead for initial and remedial training of ICII employees assigned to their shift, and serves as the Logistics Shift Supervisor in their absence. The ICII III position oversees ICII II employees, performing QA/QI functions, documenting and informing Shift Supervisor of discrepancies in supplies and equipment and assists the Shift Supervisor with pharmaceutical/narcotic inventory accountability. Works varied 12-hour shifts, which can include day, night and weekend rotations. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned supervisor or command officer.
Perform as Shift Lead responsible for initial and remedial training of ICII staff, serve as Logistics Shift Supervisor in their absence, performs QA/QI function for Logistics work products, assists Shift Supervisor with pharmaceutical/narcotic inventory accountability, accepts/stores/documents/retrieves/inspects supplies/equipment; receives bio-hazardous materials for lawful disposal and/or documentation; delivers supplies and vehicles to and from various locations, as well as emergency incident scenes; creates and maintains manual and computerized logs and files. Principal duties are performed in a warehouse or office, with possible hazardous weather or emergency conditions.
