Advantage Ambulance is a BLS and CCT ambulance provider headquartered in Riverside County, California. We are seeking an EMS Instructor to join our Training team, developing and presenting EMS curricula, maintaining the training room, and ensuring timely completion of required forms and documents.

Ideal candidates hold a California driver license, BLS Provider, EMT/Paramedic or RN in CA, and prefer CEVO/EVOC or AHA Instructor certifications; 8-hour Mon-Fri shifts; 1 year EMS or EMS teaching

Qualifications

• California driver license (Required).
• BLS Provider (within 6 months).
• EMT, Paramedic or Registered Nurse in California (Required).
• Approved EMS Instructor Certification (Preferred).
• CEVO/EVOC certification (Preferred).
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift Monday-Friday (Required).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1 year in EMS or as an instructor in EMS field (Required).
• 2 years experience as a pre-hospital EMT, paramedic or RN (Preferred).
• Acceptable driving record by Advantage’s insurance carrier (Required).

Responsibilities

• Developing and presenting EMS educational curriculum.
• Maintaining the training room.
• Ensure that all required forms and documents are completed in a timely manner.
• Have the required capability and training to fulfill their duties.
• Maintain all required training certificates.
• Coordinate safety activities in cooperation with Advantage Safety program requirements as set by the Director of Risk Management.
• Ensure that all training equipment is used with care and respect.
• Ensure effective quality control and that corrective action takes place to be certain that complete customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Prepare for and present courses being taught.
• For CE courses ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed, and CE certificates are given to students at the end of the class.
• Ensures that staff are scheduled and trained in accordance with company policies.
• Assist in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process.
• Acts as the liaison between the Operations and Training Departments.
