Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking an EMS Instructor to teach designated emergency medical care topics to members of local businesses, health care facilities, public safety agencies, and other organizations. This casual position involves day and evening shifts and operates under general supervision.

The role requires two years of EMT/paramedic patient care experience or EMS education teaching, with MN EMT/Paramedic or RN certification. Current PHTLS/AMLS instructor certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years EMT/paramedic patient care experience or two years EMS education teaching.
• Minnesota EMT/Paramedic or RN certification in MN from an accredited program.
• Preferred: PHTLS and AMLS instructor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach designated emergency medical care topics to organizations.
• Teach skills, evaluate student performance and provide effective feedback.
• Set-up and maintain instructional equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
