Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an EMT Instructor to join our EMS Education team in New Jersey. You will plan, deliver, and evaluate EMS courses at the Training Center or off-site, while guiding students and ensuring compliance with state rules.

The ideal candidate has at least two years EMS experience, NJ EMT Instructor credentials, and strong teaching, communication, and computer skills. You will participate in program development and recruitment activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least two years EMS experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of NJ EMS rules; adult learning theory; accreditation processes.
• Demonstrated teaching and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of competency-based education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate EMS educational offerings.
• Prepare and deliver instruction at the EMS Training Center or off-site.
• Evaluate learner performance and provide remediation plans.
• Handle EMS program administrative requirements and data reporting.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to policies.
• Adapt curricula to state requirements and local needs.
• Support student recruitment and program marketing events.
• May lead and train staff, interns, and volunteers; recruit volunteers.
• Perform miscellaneous duties; uphold organizational competencies.
