Job summary

XLR8 EMS in Southern California seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize EMS manufacturing processes, improve labor productivity, and design efficient layouts for SMT, through-hole, and box-build operations.

You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, perform time studies, develop labor standards, and collaborate across functions to drive cost, quality, and on-time delivery improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of industrial/manufacturing engineering experience in EMS or high-mix/low-volume environments.
• Experience supporting SMT and electronic assembly operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, throughput, capacity and quality.
• Conduct time studies, labor analysis, process evaluations, and capacity assessments.
• Establish and improve standard work and labor standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste and non-value-added activities.
• Support NPI, manufacturing readiness, and product launches.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma improvements and data-driven projects.
• Develop process models and propose data-based improvements.
• Balance workloads and optimize staffing to meet demand.
