Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an EMS Security Analyst to support Identity and Access Management for critical EMS environments in Birmingham, Alabama. The role focuses on administering identities, authentication platforms, and privileged access controls within a regulated framework.

The candidate will work with Windows and Linux systems, implement automation, and participate in audits and compliance initiatives related to NERC CIP and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 3 years in IAM or related security functions.
• Experience in IAM, authentication services, and access control administration.
• Degree in CS/MIS/EE or equivalent; certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage identity and authentication services including Windows domain, Cisco ISE, and RSA.
• Administer Windows and Linux systems; manage group policy and system administration.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Perl, or shell scripting.
• Administer and support EMS/SCADA cybersecurity tools: logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, remote access solutions.
• Support cybersecurity monitoring, analytics via ArcSight, Tenable, BMC CMDB, Zenoss, etc.
