Qualifications

• Evidence of training or experience showing ability to perform the work on your resume.
• Applicants will be rated under the OPM Federal Wage System qualification standards.
• Note: a full year of work is considered 35–40 hours per week; part-time experience is credited proportionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead three or more employees while performing the full range of housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate instructions from the Supervisor to the employees and validate completion of work.
• Coordinate projects with nurses and area supervisors to ensure timely completion.
• Set the pace of tasks, demonstrate methods, and train on cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
• Engage employees with purpose, direction and motivation, and provide on-the-job training.
• Report progress to Supervisor and address policy infractions and safety.
• Perform full range of housekeeping duties across rooms and facilities.
• Adjust schedule to align with departmental training needs and shift coverage.
• Position PD99913S; lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional bending/stooping; PPE use.
