Job summary

American Medical Response in Riverside, CA is hiring a Fleet Mechanic Intermediate to maintain and repair the organization’s fleet across locations. This role ensures safe operation of vehicles used for patient transport and care.

You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, respond to breakdowns in the field, use the parts catalog and maintenance database to document tasks, and meet the minimum qualifications including ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license.
• 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
• 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series). Preferably Brake and Steering / Suspension.
• MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Mechanic Intermediate performs mechanical and electrical repairs per policies and procedures.
• Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
• Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application.
• Mechanic Intermediate uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks / job assignments.

ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive)

MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification

ICS training IS-100/200/700/800 (FEMA)
