Job summary

Community Ambulance Fleet Operations in Georgia seeks a diesel mechanic to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul buses and trucks and to maintain diesel engines.

You will work with brake systems, exhaust devices, wheel alignment, and testing instruments to diagnose and fix malfunctions, in a nonprofit, mission-driven setting that values care. This role supports mission-critical emergency transportation with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related fleet equipment.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctions using gauges and test instruments.
• Familiarity with brakes, wheel alignment and exhaust systems.

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul buses and trucks, or maintain and repair any type of diesel engines. Includes mechanics working primarily with automobile or marine diesel engines.

• Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
• Adjust or repair computer controlled exhaust emissions devices.
• Align front ends and suspension systems.
• Attach test instruments to equipment, and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
