Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service, Inc. seeks a full-time Fleet Mechanic to maintain diesel and gas vehicles for our Chelsea/Lynn operations. This hands-on role focuses on preventative maintenance and timely repairs to minimize breakdowns and costs.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, updating management on concerns, and ensuring adherence to all safety and policy guidelines. Strong computer skills and previous EMS vehicle experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational safety training a plus.
• Prior experience with gas and diesel vehicles preferred.
• Experience with Ford Transmissions, E350 and E450 trucks with 4.6, 6.0 and motors preferred.
• Experience with emergency vehicles and basic computer systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, performing mechanical repairs on company vehicles.
• Performing preventative maintenance in a timely manner to reduce breakdowns and costs.
• Updating managers of concerns and potential problems with employees or equipment.
• Maintain and complete work according to work orders and priorities.
• Proactively exploring opportunities to add value, time efficiencies and productivity increases.
• Communicate with operations for equipment restocking or replacement needs.
• Maintain a professional work environment with coworkers, customers and vendors.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain reliable attendance.
