Job summary

Indianapolis EMS is seeking an Associate EMS Educator to support, supervise, and enhance EMT/Paramedic instruction within the Academic Services Division. You will evaluate student psychomotor competencies, enforce policies, and administer remediations while maintaining regulatory compliance and program excellence.

The role includes developing instructional modules, supervising students and recruits, and coordinating classroom, lab, and clinical learning experiences with senior educators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in EMS, Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a 911 pre-hospital paramedic.
• Current Indiana Paramedic License and valid Indiana Driver’s License.
• American Heart Association CPR/BLS certifications and Instructor-level certifications.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Instructor-level certifications.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.
• EVOC Instructor; IEMS FTO; IEMS Paramedic Preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage students, recruits, and personnel across classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environments.
• Exercise supervisory authority to evaluate student performance, grade instructional modules, and enforce program policies.
• Construct and deliver learning modules in traditional classroom and virtual/hybrid formats.
• Direct and proctor standardized student examinations and develop evaluation instruments.
• Maintain official administrative records including attendance and mastery of content.
