Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks an EMS Instructor to lead education for EMT, AEMT and Paramedic programs in Wisconsin. You will develop curricula, teach across cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains, and mentor junior instructors.

Qualifications

Required certification applicable to training assigned (Wisconsin or Illinois EMS or other applicable certs).
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within three months.
Certified AHA Instructor in at least one level (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within one year.
Ability to document, collect, maintain and submit accurate class records.

Responsibilities

Lead EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and/or AHA course development following state/national guidelines.
Provide quality instruction across cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains.
Apply adult learning principles and set clear goals; monitor and evaluate progress.
Instruct in at least one AHA class (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
Deliver instruction at varied times/locations based on student demand; travel 20%.
