Job summary

WLRC Medical in Jonesboro, AR seeks an EMS Program Educator to deliver EMT and AEMT courses in compliance with Arkansas Department of Health EMS regulations and National EMS Education Standards.

The role leads classroom, labs, simulations, and clinical education, developing competent EMS professionals while promoting critical thinking and professional behavior among students entering the EMS workforce.

Qualifications

• Current Arkansas EMS provider license at EMT level or higher.
• Successful completion of Arkansas EMS approved 40-hour EMT Instructor Course or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire.
• Current BLS Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to teach adult learners using evidence-based methods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as instructor for EMT/AEMT courses in line with Arkansas EMS regulations.
• Deliver lectures, skills labs, simulations, and clinical preparation aligned with National Registry.
• Design lesson plans, materials, and assessments meeting state EMS requirements.
• Ensure courses receive required approvals from Arkansas Office of EMS before delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor clinical internships with hospitals/EMS agencies.
• Evaluate student performance using exams and scenario-based assessments.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to support student success.
