Bellin College is seeking an EMS Education Coordinator/Instructor II to lead Paramedic and EMT programs, overseeing curriculum development, classroom and clinical instruction, student advising, program evaluation, and accreditation support.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Paramedic with leadership skills and experience in curriculum development and student engagement, dedicated to excellence in EMS education and community partnership.

Qualifications

• Documentation of NREMT Paramedic certification.
• Proof of 2 years’ experience as a licensed Paramedic.
• Current State of WI license at or above Paramedic level.
• State of WI DHS EMS Instructor II license preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor preferred; or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development for Paramedic and EMT programs and oversee delivery of classroom and clinical instruction.
• Provide student advising, mentorship, and course coordination across the EMS education programs.
• Support program evaluation and accreditation activities in collaboration with college leadership.
• Mentor instructors to ensure delivery of high-quality EMS education and continuous improvement.

Job Summary:

EMS Education Coordinator / Instructor II

Bellin College is seeking a dedicated EMS Education Coordinator/Instructor II to lead and coordinate its Paramedic and EMT education programs. This position is responsible for curriculum development, classroom and clinical instruction, student advising, program evaluation, accreditation support, and mentoring instructors to ensure the delivery of high-quality EMS education. The ideal candidate is a licensed Paramedic with a passion for teaching, strong leadership skills, and experience in curriculum development and student engagement. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Licensures:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, i.e. Education, Leadership
• Wisconsin Paramedic License or National Registry of EMS Paramedic certification
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Experience:

• Documentation of current certification with the NREMT at the Paramedic level.
• Proof of equivalency of 2 years’ experience as a licensed, practicing Paramedic.
• Current State of WI license at or above the level of Paramedic.
• State of WI DHS EMS Instructor II license preferred: or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor preferred; or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of curriculum development, effecting teaching/learning and evaluation of programs.

Knowledge:

Knowledge and skill in the application of the principles of teaching and learning. Knowledge in curriculum and curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Willingness to work with students to facilitate their learning.

These require a wide range of knowledge and skills some of which include: the ability to use teaching, learning, and curriculum development and evaluation principles; interpersonal skills which include the use of group process and counseling/guidance principles; computer competency in word processing, file management, and internal/external email; and leadership abilities which encompasses organizational skills, flexibility, and problem solving skills.
